We are getting new volunteers regularly now, which is cool, and there were a couple more new faces this morning. A morning that saw us finish my first house. Very nice, but work got a little more interesting after that as we went to a new site. The house was still standing so we had to support the roof and pull down a couple of walls (video coming soon).
Padang (our nearest city) is apparently one of the ten rainiest places on earth! This aft we had torrential rain that caused a power cut, so I had to shower, eat, and do the dishes in the dark.
Ash and I spent the rest of the night with a new Indonesian volunteer. We nicknamed him Radar and tried to teach him some chat-up lines in English. He didn’t have the bottle to try them out.
