I didn’t take the camera up much last season, but still enjoyed a good amount of shredding during my first Winter in Whistler. Right now the town is gearing up for another ski season and I’m starting to get excited to get back on snow! So thought it would be a good time to post the few shots I did take.
The feature shot above is from Ash’s little visit to Whistler, and he was lucky enough to enjoy a couple of the best pow days of the winter. This one was taken on Blackcomb Glacier, which usually gets tracked out quickly, so we had a big long traverse to score some fresh turns.
The one below is Cris sending it off the old heli-pad on Blackcomb Mountain.
I had a few good days with Cris in the spring, and the next two were on the very last pow day of the season, after the Glacier lifts were closed. We took the touring skis and walked up for a couple of spring powder lines. It wasn’t the best conditions ever, but still heaps of fun!
And finally… while we were up there some random guy was hiking up even further than us… don’t know who it was but still liked the photo:
Hopefully this winter we will get more snow, and I’ll take more photos!
